Click & Boat surfs the boat rental boom

Founded in 2014, this young company which specializes in online boat rental is targeting a business volume of 100 million euros in 2020, which would be twice as much as last year. It has just bought its main competitor, the Spanish company Nautal.

After several weeks crossing the the health crisis desert, Edouard Gorioux has found a reason to smile again. Click & Boat co-founder, with Jérémy Bismuth, of Click & Boat, a specialist in online boat rental, has seen bookings skyrocket since the end of confinement in mid-May. “Our activity was at a standstill for three months: between March and May. We spent our time dealing with cancellation or postponement requests. But since mid-May, we have seen a very strong acceleration. Our business volume for French customers and for French destinations doubled in June, and increased by 70% in July!", enthused the entrepreneur.

Launched in 2014 by Edouard Gorioux and Jeremy Bismuth, Click & Boat started as the Airbnb for boats, a pure digital peer-to-peer actor, and now lists boats from traditional brokerages and professional renters, as well for a fleet in excess of 35,000 yachts and bareboats. The company has been expanding its core market by addressing additional services such as week-long sailing cruises and luxury rentals, as well as offering travel agency related services. The founders’ vision for Click & Boat remains unchanged: becoming the reference actor in the boat rental market as a whole, and their energy to continue disrupting this sector is limitless.
