Founded in 2014, this young company which specializes in online boat rental is targeting a business volume of 100 million euros in 2020, which would be twice as much as last year. It has just bought its main competitor, the Spanish company Nautal.
20/08/2020After several weeks crossing the the health crisis desert, Edouard Gorioux has found a reason to smile again. Click & Boat co-founder, with Jérémy Bismuth, of Click & Boat, a specialist in online boat rental, has seen bookings skyrocket since the end of confinement in mid-May. “Our activity was at a standstill for three months: between March and May. We spent our time dealing with cancellation or postponement requests. But since mid-May, we have seen a very strong acceleration. Our business volume for French customers and for French destinations doubled in June, and increased by 70% in July!", enthused the entrepreneur.
Launched in 2014 by Edouard Gorioux and Jeremy Bismuth, Click & Boat started as the Airbnb for boats, a pure digital peer-to-peer actor, and now lists boats from traditional brokerages and professional renters, as well for a fleet in excess of 35,000 yachts and bareboats. The company has been expanding its core market by addressing additional services such as week-long sailing cruises and luxury rentals, as well as offering travel agency related services. The founders’ vision for Click & Boat remains unchanged: becoming the reference actor in the boat rental market as a whole, and their energy to continue disrupting this sector is limitless.
