Caviar Neuvic has been awarded the B Corp label, which recognizes the company's overall commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
05/10/2023 SUDOUESTThis is the culmination of a process that began five years ago.
In mid-September, Caviar de Neuvic (independently of Caviar House & Prunier) was awarded the B Corp label, which evaluates the commitment of companies wishing to do so in five areas: governance, employee well-being, societal impact, environmental impact and customer management.
To obtain this label, created by the American NGO B Lab and still little known in France, the Périgord-based company had to work on "a global approach", explains its CEO, Laurent Deverlanges. "We chose a demanding certification whose aim is to make companies better for the world", he asserts.
And it's not all about ecology: when it comes to employees, Caviar de Neuvic has, for example, been working on "an ethical charter, or pay differentials". Above all, the company hopes to "create a dynamic". "We want to start a movement", insists Laurent Deverlanges.
The label, renewable every three years, is awarded to companies with a minimum rating of 80/200. The Périgord-based company scored 95.1, better than some of the big names, such as the Veja sneaker brand. "This certification is not a given, it's a step towards improvement.
